Do you have this cookbook? I just got the first Home Made cookbook (I know, late to the party) and it pretty much rules my world. Yvette van Boven has such a laid back attitude when it comes to cooking, the photos are beautiful, the food styling is refreshingly real, and it’s full of her funny and helpful illustrations. Les Menus for a birthday breakfast, drinks with snacks, and dinner for 12? A recipe for ice cream that doesn’t require an ice cream maker? Uh, yes.
Recently, she graciously posted five recipes from the new-ish summer book on her blog, along with illustrations. The menu is for a summer dinner party, with a spritzer, a savory cake, salad, Italian chicken stew, and little rhubarb cobblers. A quote: “The fun part of cooking is to be easy on yourself. Don’t stress out!” Okay.
There’s also a good-looking recipe for Cava Sangria from the new book over on Eat Boutique.
